Warning when setting IsLoadingSynchronously

Apr 26, 2010 at 8:15 AM

I get the following warning when using (read, write) IsLoadingSynchronously property.

Warning    1    'ImageTools.Image.IsLoadingSynchronously' is obsolete: 'Images should only be loaded asynchronously'

How can i get rid of it?

No chance...

I just started with loading images synchronously, but noticed, that this
is not a good idea for large images. The official concept for
silverlight is to do everything asynchronously when possible.

Therefore I decided to make it asynchronously and added the property for
people who do not want to change their code. They can just set the
property to true and everything still works fine. The default value is
false, so when just use myImage.IsLoadingSynchronously = false remove
the line.

Well i know that this is not a good idea, but i am using custom logic (start my own thread and so on) and now i am watching that ugly warning.

You can load the source, remove the warning (its an attribute at this
property) and then build your own version ;)
